I recently worked on a Flash website refresh for Daniel Stromborg Design in Los Angeles. Their client was photographer Marla Rutherford, who uses her site to display a selection of her photographs and examples of her published work.

The brief was to create a second 'tearsheets' section; have all thumbnails and images loading in at run-time from references stored in an XML document; create a horizontal scrolling component that managed the loading of images in a particular category; and improve the pre-existing ActionScript code (refactoring).

The end result is a site that can carry far more content than before; allowing the administrator to dynamically manage images and titles without needing to re-publish the SWF. The app scales according to the quantity of content available, leaving no visible placeholders.
