OSX: Fix for network accounts unavailable
Posted: 01/02/12
Network account login against Windows servers using Active Directory, as well as mobile user accounts, has been pretty much broken in OSX 10.7 (Lion). Network login would appear to be available for five minutes, then disappear for hours (or days). Fortunately, Apple released a fix for the bug this week in the 10.7.3 update.
Update: Having used it for a couple of days following the update, I'm happy to report being able to consistently login using my network credentials, and haven't yet seen "Network accounts unavailable" on the login screen. Rejoice (and hope they don't break it with their next major OS rollout).
