This week's OSMF user group is going to be a useful one for Flash designers and web professionals everywhere. If you're currently using FLVPlayback or JWPlayer, Strobe Media Playback could be a useful tool in your armoury.

Ovidiu Eftimie from Adobe's Strobe Media Playback team will be presenting the features of this new versatile "ready-to-go" video player. There'll be an insight into the roadmap for future additions to the player, and time to ask questions.

The presentation starts at 12:00 (LA), 20:00 (London), and can be accessed by anyone through this URL http://experts.na3.acrobat.com/osmf

If you're not familiar with it, Strobe Media Playback is an Open Source Media Framework (OSMF) based media player that you can quickly and easily integrate into your web site. It comes with a predefined user interface. It supports all the same video features as OSMF, including Progressive Download, RTMP streaming, Live Streaming, HTTP Dynamic Streaming and content protection with Flash Access 2.0. The interface can be controlled through HTML embed tags, including control of the player dimensions, setting auto start and auto hide behavior, full screen support, and much more.
