Flex 3 Beta
Posted: 24/06/07
Adobe have released the first beta of Flex Builder 3, which incorporates support for AIR (formerly Apollo).
AIR allows Flex applications to be deployed to the desktop inside a windowless application container, permitting enhanced interactivity with the local file system, whilst benefiting from asynchronous polling of remote services.
Enhancements to the design view will supposedly improve the development process for less technical authors, however I'm still dubious about the effectiveness and quality of an application developed in design view.
